DōMatcha’s GenMai-Cha is a premium blend of Japanese matcha, tencha tea leaves, and roasted rice. Tetra shaped tea bags made from organic cornstarch are used for a premium quality brew. Tencha tea leaves are shade-grown which forces the plant's chlorophyll to rise to the top as it seeks the sunlight. They are handpicked and then carefully steamed to prevent the enzymes from oxidizing. Genmai - Cha contains 47% Tencha leaves, 50% roasted rice, and 3% matcha.
