The artof Chanoyu is really a fusion of many Japanese arts with the focus ofpreparing a bowl of tea with a pure heart.Matcha is made from tea bushes being covered with shade before harvesting.This is in order to make the taste very sweet. The way of processing Matchais quite different from the other teas. Tea leaves plucked by hand, steamed,dried, deveined and then finally ground into a fine Matcha. We use Kabuse Tea or shade grown Sencha to make our Matcha. It is grownand plucked in Zhejiang and finely-milled at the factory.
